ABOUT 

Kidchella is a junior version of the well-known Coachella festival. Expect a modern-day ‘blue light disco’ where kids can have the time of their lives dancing to the latest music in a safe kid friendly environment. Mixed up with a host of ultra-cool festival merch stalls, makeovers and activities.

 

LOCATION

Kidchella is located inside the massive 1,000 square metre Events Arena at Carrara Markets. This is an undercover pavilion located within the grounds of the markets.

Carrara Markets has free parking!

WHAT

The event has two main elements.

1. Festival activities, merch stands and food tents - Free Entry to explore

2. Kidchella Disco - Entry by ticket only

KIDCHELLA DISCO 

Let the kids dance their hearts out at the Kidchella Disco, presented in session times in designated age groups. 

 

Tott-chella Session

For boys & girls ages 4-9 years old

Morning 9am to 11.30am

Disco Entry Price $7 child

 

Teen-chella Session 

For boys & girls ages 10-14 years old

Afternoon 12noon-2.30pm

Disco Entry Price $7 per child

VIP Booths

Pay an additional $60 for a VIP Booth!

If you have a group up to 8 kids, then why not share the cost of a VIP Booth for that extra special Kidchella experience. This is a dazzled-up 3m x 3m size tent with seating, glow wands, novelty party supplies & a sensational snack grazing table. 

Note – all food & drinks must be kept within the booth and not taken into the dance area.

Put your hands up for little j! She's one of the Gold Coast's top DJ's and she’ll be mixing up funky hip hop, RNB and all the cool tunes kids love!

SPECIAL FEATURES

Mum-Chella & Dad-Chella Zone

Yes we have a sneaky parent sitting area within the disco area. It is a discreet area so you can enjoy watching your child but not too close so as not to cramp their style! Parents must register their names for this zone when buying tickets. For those parents that wish to enjoy browsing the markets, it is requested you return 5 mins before the session end time to meet your child.

 

Free Water Zones

There will be a free water station in the disco to keep the kids hydrated while dancing up a storm!

 

Security

Kidchella will have friendly staff making sure all kids are having fun. No child will be able to leave the disco without their authorised parent. An authorised parent will be contacted if a child wishes to use a bathroom. All children will be issued a wristband which will highlight whether their parent is in the sitting area or browsing the markets.
